What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal Security Systems Engineer position at Tential Solutions?
We are looking for an individual that can independently develop solutions for AMQS Linux systems, while working with the broader team for input and system experience. They should be able to do the following, but not limited to, developing, troubleshooting, planning, process development of various parts of the AMQS system from both a Software and Hardware standpoint. Ability to eventually lead and mentor 1 – 4 junior engineers to be productive, while also completing their own work. It would be important to have some knowledge of the following SysAdmin knowledge, with experience in Kubernetes, TrueNAS, Corosync, DRBD, Pacemaker, MQ Series, Oracle Virtual Server, Solaris 10/11, SPARC, RHEL, Ubuntu, SPARC Virtualization, and OSSEC, but not required to be an expert in all. Lastly experience with or understanding of operating in a live production environment with high reliability and up time requirements. In addition, be able to document, plan work, track items, robust personality and is willing to collaborate/communicate/align, successfully support assigned items/projects independently, and work directly with Technical leads. Supporting multiple meetings and tracking of technical deliverables.

- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience performing systems engineering or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
- Must have experience in systems engineering and solutions through all phases of the SDLC life cycle (development, test, implementation and long-term support).
- Must have experience with implementing architectural changes and customer-driven enhancements to complex systems. Complex systems typically involved multiple servers, interfaces, networks, and databases.
- Must have experience with Developing technical product roadmaps depicting the steps anticipated to migrate from the current state to the targeted future state.
- Experience working in a highly integrated team environment with software, hardware, and network engineers.
- Knowledge of contemporary technologies that may be applicable in addressing product and market needs
- Experience working in communications systems.
- Experience working in a service-oriented business model for engineering.
- Experience providing solutions and implementing infrastructures requiring 100% availability
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
