About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team focused on air separation plant projects. This role offers the opportunity to design and optimize process systems, influence project execution, and contribute to innovation and continuous improvement in a collaborative industrial environment.
As a Process Engineer, you will support the full project lifecycle — from initial design and specifications to commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance optimization — while maintaining the highest standards for safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop process engineering designs, specifications, and calculations for air separation plant projects and commercial proposals.
- Perform process simulations, develop heat and material balances, and create Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
- Provide accurate process data to support compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, adsorption systems, control valves, relief valves, distillation columns, cold boxes, cooling towers, tanks, analyzers, and related equipment.
- Participate in P&ID development, HAZOP studies, plant commissioning and start-up, technical risk analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Review vendor equipment proposals, technical drawings, and datasheets for compliance with design criteria and standards.
- Develop process performance test specifications for air separation plants.
- Interface with customers and suppliers to ensure successful project execution.
- Support department initiatives for best practices, procedures, and continuous improvement, including maintaining a Lessons Learned log.
- Stay current with new process technologies, simulation tools, and industry trends.
- Uphold and promote the highest standards of safety in all activities.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cryogenic or non-cryogenic air separation processes.
- Hands-on experience with Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Heat & Material Balances (H&MBs).
- Working knowledge of process simulators and equipment sizing, material selection, and utility calculations.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.
Preferred:
- Experience with industrial gas process commissioning, start-up, or troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with quality assurance procedures, continuous improvement methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration.

Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
