A leading global alternative asset management firm is expanding its Front Office Technology team and seeking a Senior Architect, Full Stack Web Developer (Principal) to support their Structured Credit & Specialty Finance group. This is a high-impact, hands-on engineering role partnering directly with traders and investment professionals to design and build the next generation of valuation, trading, and risk platforms.
What You’ll Do
As a senior architect in our front office tech organization, you will:
- Design and deliver full end‑to‑end solutions—front end, back end, and deployment.
- Build and automate trading workflows, risk review systems, and analytics tools.
- Develop and maintain internal & external reporting platforms.
- Optimize data workflows, APIs, and system integrations.
- Oversee releases and provide production support for mission‑critical applications.
- Support daily risk, pricing, and performance reviews across complex asset classes.
- Work closely with traders, business users, quantitative teams, and fellow engineers.
What We’re Looking For
Technical Expertise:
- Strong hands‑on experience with JavaScript frameworks (Angular)
- Proficiency in C#/.NET, Python, SQL
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, UI layout frameworks
- Experience with:
- .NET Core, Node.js, Docker, Azure, Git, DevOps, CI/CD
- Power BI, Analysis Services, Databricks, Notebooks
- Deep database skills: SQL Server, performance tuning, multi‑platform SQL
- Advanced Excel, data analysis, fixed‑income risk/pricing experience
Domain Knowledge:
- Background in fixed income, structured credit, whole loans
- Experience with datasets/tools such as Bloomberg, Intex, 1010data, CoreLogic, Agency Loan data
- Understanding of ABS, RMBS, MBS, CMBS collateral & performance metrics
Experience
- 7–12 years preferred (open to exceptional candidates with 5 years)
- Strong analytical & problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to lead design and resolve technical issues independently
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced, front‑office environment
- Excellent communication skills with traders & business users
Preferred Background
- Prior experience in financial services, private equity, hedge funds, or investment banking
- Exposure to front office trading technology or financial application development
