What are the responsibilities and job description for the Printed Circuit Board Design Engineer position at Tenth Revolution Group?
- Design and develop single and multilayer PCB layouts for RF, mixed-signal, analog, and digital circuits utilizing industry best practices.
- Implement controlled impedance structures (microstrip, stripline, CPWG) and transmission line matching.
- Optimize component placement and routing for signal integrity, isolation, and minimal parasitics.
- Address RF-specific challenges such as grounding strategies, shielding, and coupling mitigation.
- Translate schematics into layouts that preserve phase noise, isolation, minimize spurs, address thermal issues and maintain signal fidelity.
- Work closely with other engineers to ensure layout supports filter response, oscillator stability, and low-noise performance.
- Apply best practices for minimizing EMI/EMC and crosstalk in dense RF environments
- Generate complete fabrication and assembly packages including:
- Gerber/ODB files
- Drill files and stack-up definitions
- Fabrication drawings and notes
- Assembly drawings
- Define PCB stack-ups including RF laminates (e.g., Rogers) and hybrid constructions.
- Understand dielectric properties, loss tangent, and their impact on RF performance.
- Collaborate with fabricators to ensure compliance with requirements, manufacturability, and cost targets.
- Support design reviews, including layout reviews and tolerance analysis.
- Work with manufacturing to prevent and resolve assembly issues related to pcb design.
