Each counter is led by chefs from Japan’s top restaurants and centers on the art of omotenashi, delivering a highly personalized, counter-only experience. Guests enjoy Edomae sushi and open-flame cooking in a setting designed for close, attentive service and deep appreciation of Japanese cuisine. TENSHOU Collection is opening in West Hollywood and Las Vegas in 2026 and is currently assembling its founding culinary, front-of-house, and management teams. Team members will help shape a new destination for experiencing the true essence of Japanese dining, one seat at a time.
Role Description The Restaurant Server is a full-time, on-site role based in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for welcoming guests, presenting menus, explaining courses and beverage pairings, and guiding guests through an omakase dining experience. Day-to-day tasks include taking orders, communicating special requests to the culinary team, serving food and beverages with precision, and maintaining a clean, organized counter and dining area. The Server collaborates closely with chefs and other front-of-house team members to uphold the standards of omotenashi, ensuring attentive, thoughtful service throughout the meal. Additional responsibilities include processing payments, managing reservations and seating flow, and supporting opening and closing duties to maintain a refined, high-end service environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Food Service and Food & Beverage experience, ideally in fine dining, omakase, or chef’s counter environments.
- Demonstrated Customer Service and Communication skills, with the ability to engage guests, explain menus, and respond to needs with professionalism and respect.
- Basic Food Preparation knowledge and familiarity with Japanese cuisine or willingness to learn in depth.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, carry trays or plates safely, and work evening and weekend shifts as needed.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hospitality.
- Experience in high-end or specialty restaurants is beneficial; multilingual skills, especially Japanese or other languages, are a plus.
- Food handler certification (or ability to obtain it promptly) and authorization to work in the United States.
Schedule Expectations
- Evening and weekend availability required. Shifts typically 4–8 hours.
