Location: Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, Chattanooga, Tennessee
Position Type: Nonexempt (Hourly) Full-Time
Schedule: Includes occasional weekends and evenings
Reports To: Senior Director - Marketing, Communications, and Guest Experiences
Work Conditions
We are seeking a motivated self-starter with strong graphic design skills and social media expertise to join our creative team. This role will be responsible for producing compelling visual content, developing social media campaigns, and supporting the planning and execution of on-site and seasonal events. The ideal candidate is deadline-driven, organized, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Work is predominantly performed in a quiet to moderately loud office environment. Required to remain in stationary position 75% of the time, occasionally move about inside the office and outside on property, constantly operate computer and other office productivity machinery such as copier and position self to maintain files in cabinets and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds; ability to accurately communicate information and ideas so that others will understand; observe details at close range.

Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality visual content for print, web, and social platforms using Adobe Creative Suite
- Design branded materials including brochures, posters, signage, and advertisem
- Plan, schedule, and execute social media content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
- Collaborate with team members to conceptualize and promote on-site and seasonal events
- Support marketing strategies with engaging visuals and messaging
- Assist with event planning, including logistics, promotion, and day-of support
- Provide special support during major seasonal events including themed promotions, creative materials, and on-site assistance
- Maintain brand consistency across all platforms and materials
- Work evenings and weekends for events or campaigns as needed
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance, including working overtime (minimally anticipated) as needed
- Work cooperatively and collaboratively with team members, guests, and vendors
- Timely and effectively perform any other tasks assigned by the Senior Director - Marketing, Communications, and Guest Experiences or other members of the management team.
- Bachelor’s degree or Associates Degree in Graphic Design (required)
- 3 years of professional experience in graphic design and/or social media
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Strong understanding of social media trends, tools, and analytics
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Event planning experience is a plus
