Senate A/V Production Specialist - Live Television Production from the Historic State Capitol in the Heart of Downtown Nashville
Job Description
Would you like to work in a live television environment and gain experience in broadcasting? This is an entry-level position designed for someone early in their broadcasting career looking to gain valuable on-the-job training and experience in a live television production environment.
We hire Camera Operators, CG Operators, Master Control Operators, and Technical Directors. Our A/V Production specialists work in all of these roles while covering the proceedings of the Tennessee General Assembly.
Our office broadcasts live to television via a statewide partnership of public television stations. Specialists will assist with station operations, including programming schedule, managing media assets, CG, and technical direction of broadcasts.
A/V production specialists also assist with Hearing rooms, Audio/Video presentation support, and office support.
As employees of the Clerks’ office, staff is expected to dress and act professionally, and neutrally, in a political environment.
Ideal Candidate
We welcome recent graduates of video/film production programs or those with 1-2 years' experience volunteering on local church/sports productions. While professional experience is preferred, we will thoroughly train the right candidate with a foundation in technical skills and an eagerness to learn.
The ideal candidate has a basic understanding of roles such as Camera Operators, CG Operators, etc. and is motivated to further develop their skills in a professional workplace.
Required Experience
1-2 years of experience in high school, college, local access station, church, or community television production required. Professional experience preferred but not required. We will train the right candidate with core technical competencies and a drive to learn on the job.

Rate of Pay
This position pays $21/hr. Full-time hours are available.
