The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for the full-time position of Associate Instructor in the Evening Barbering Program at our Clarksville Campus. This is a grant-funded position.
Minimum Requirements
SALARY: $51,149-$61,379 per year ($26.23-$31.47 per hour). Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines and directly related experience.

Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma from accredited Barbering program preferred.
- Active Tennessee Barbering Instructor license OR active Tennessee Cosmetology Instructor license and willingness/ability to successfully complete a 300-hour Barber training program and obtain Barbering Instructor license.
- Minimum of three years of full-time Barbering experience with Barbering Instructor license OR three years of full-time Cosmetologist experience with active Cosmetology Instructor license OR three years of full-time Master Barber experience and willingness/ability to successfully complete a 300-hour Barber Instructor training program and obtain Barbering Instructor license.
- Teaching, training or management experience preferred.
- Must possess a high degree of knowledge in all areas of the instructional field.
- Must commit to remain licensed and maintain program accreditation(s).
- Must possess the organization and communication skills necessary to be an effective teacher and interact with all students.
- Must show evidence of good character, organizational skills, and mature attitude.
- Must be willing to remain current in the Barbering profession.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
- Computer skills required.
