The Tennessee Aquarium is looking for a positive, friendly, movie-loving part-time IMAX Visitor Services Associate to provide a high level of customer service by greeting and assisting all guests of the IMAX Theater.
Key Responsibilities
- Politely greets guests, scans tickets, and directs guests into the queuing area
- Communicates professionally and effectively with visitors and staff
- Ensures the safe and even flow of guests through IMAX by assisting in the loading/unloading of the theater and ushering guests to their seats with flashlights, if necessary
- Helps maintain a clean lobby and theater between each show to ensure a positive first impression when guests enter the building
- Provides assistance to guests with special needs, such as helping those with wheelchairs
- Provides assistance during emergency situations, ensuring the safety of visitors and staff
- Monitors critical areas of the IMAX Theater to ensure safety concerns are reported in a timely manner
- Assists in the distribution, cleaning, and retrieval of 3D glasses
Key Qualifications
- Exceptional customer service
- Ability to perform under pressure and, at times, in a fast-paced, crowded, and busy environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, staff, and management, to include two-way radio traffic
- Positive attitude with guests and co-workers at all times
- Maintain a professional, neat appearance, adhering to the Aquarium’s uniform policy guidelines
Part-time, hourly ($15/hour); Evening, weekend, and holiday work required as needed.
