As a Customer Success Engineer, you will work closely with the Forward Deployed Engineers and Customer Success Managers to ensure seamless technical delivery, implementation, and ongoing optimization of TENEX’s solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work directly with customers to ensure success.
In this role, you serve as a critical technical advisor and partner to a portfolio of enterprise customers. Your primary mission is to ensure customers achieve maximum value from our security services, with a specific focus on technical integration and data ingestion. This role is highly hands-on and requires a deep understanding of data formats, APIs, and the ability to develop custom parsers to adapt our solutions to diverse customer environments.

This role is highly hands-on and requires a deep understanding of data formats, APIs, and the ability to develop custom parsers to adapt our solutions to diverse customer environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain custom data parsers to transform raw security logs and data from various customer systems (e.g., SIEMs, cloud platforms, threat intelligence feeds, etc) into a normalized format for our platform.
- Serve as a key technical point of contact for advanced issues, including data pipeline failures, parser errors, and integration challenges. Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical problems in collaboration with internal engineering and product teams.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, identifying customer needs and translating them into actionable feedback for our product roadmap. Champion customer requirements to ensure our platform evolves to meet their changing security challenges.
- Working alongside other Customer Success practitioners, monitor customer health and usage metrics to identify opportunities for optimization, new use cases, and enhanced security value. Conduct regular technical reviews to ensure systems are configured correctly and performing optimally.
- Demonstrated basic experience across disciplines including data ingestion, normalization, modeling and automations to create key deliverables including playbooks, dashboards, reporting, etc.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, guides, and best-practice content to empower customers and scale our support efforts.
- Technical & Industry Expertise
- 2- 3 years proven experience in a cybersecurity, cloud engineering, DevOps or similar field.
- Strong understanding of security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, SOAR, and cloud security.
- Hands-on experience with parsing various data formats (e.g., JSON, XML, CSV, Syslog).
- Experience with scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with networking, security operations, and incident response workflows.

- Bonus Skills
- Previous experience with Google specific platforms (SecOps/Chronicle/Siemplify, GCP, SCC, VirusTotal Enterprise, VertexAI, CEP, etc.)
- Previous experience with Logstash configuration and implementation
- Direct experience with data pipeline technologies such as OTEL, Bindplane, Cribl, Databahn, and Abstract.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Engineer, or CISSP are a plus.
