What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapist position at Ten Sixteeen Recovery Network?
Position Purpose: Provide effective clinical services to individuals with a substance use disorder and mild to moderate mental health disorder(s), utilizing adopted, evidence-based therapeutic interventions in the outpatient setting.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Provide effective individual, group, and family counseling services, as applicable, using evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Work collaboratively with all members of the team to help clients move forward in their recovery through an integrated approach.
- Work collaboratively with clients to determine needs, implement an individualized treatment plan with periodic reviews, document progress in treatment, and provide clinical rationale for authorizations for services.
- Document all client encounters and interactions in clinical record and maintain proper client files including, but not limited to information around admission, assessment, diagnosis, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge. Documentation should be in compliance with established timeframes, accreditation, licensing, and funding requirements.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with referral sources and community agencies by having consistent communication and ensuring all reports and information (requested or required) is provided in a timely, accurate, and professional manner in compliance with confidentiality laws.
- Network with and become familiar with other local agencies and services that might be of service to clients during and after outpatient placement.
- Participate in any assigned clinical, community, and any other meetings as requested.
- Understand the philosophy of Ten16 and demonstrate alignment in client care and interactions with the community.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills:
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology or related human service field with licensure one to three years of relevant experience. CAADC required or be secured within three years of employment
- Strong working knowledge of substance use disorder treatment from a holistic perspective.
- Working knowledge and application of a 12-step and other recovery pathways.
- Moderate computer skills. Computer skills must be adequate to accomplish all documentation requirements of the position.
