Ten Broeck Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a Full-Time Dietary Clerk.
The Dietary Clerk assists professional Registered Dietitians by performing standardized nutritional care tasks such as summarizing and maintaining records of patients’ diets, providing information on diets and food preparation to residents and their families, and consulting with facility staff regarding changes in patient’s diets. They perform some tasks which are similar to those performed by Dietitians; however, these tasks are performed under the guidance and direction of a Registered Dietitian.
Pay rate: 17-19/hr

Responsibilities:
- Provide dietary services in accordance with company guideline, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Prepares and maintains patients’ dietary histories as part of their nutritional care and overall treatment plans.
- Records current diet plans prescribed by the physician as well as modified diet orders written by the physician.
- Regularly prepares a census showing the number of patients under each diet plan available.
- Other duties as assigned.
Dietitian Skills:
- Education/Training/Certification/Licensure:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of Dietetic Assistant/Technician Program preferred.
- One (1) year food service experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of normal and therapeutic nutrition
- Successful completion of site personnel general orientation.
- Successful completion of department specific orientation
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and move a minimum of 50lbs
- Must be able to bend, lift, transport equipment.
- Must be able to use a computer.
