Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian to join their large, state-of-the-art small animal practice in South Carolina. This well-established, full-service hospital is equipped to handle a wide variety of cases, offering comprehensive medical, surgical, and diagnostic services in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. The hospital is open seven days a week from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Weekend coverage is part of the regular schedule, with shifts structured to ensure continuity of care and support work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This position is open to experienced veterinarians. The Associate Veterinarian will manage a broad range of cases including general wellness, internal medicine, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, dentistry, and urgent care. The role also includes responsibilities in diagnostics, pain management, hospice care, and integrative medicine. A strong focus is placed on client communication and delivering personalized, high-quality care to every patient.
Practice Details
The 9,500 sq ft facility features eight exam rooms, including two feline-only spaces and a dedicated comfort room. Advanced equipment includes a surgical laser, endoscopy, ultrasound, digital radiography, dental radiography, therapeutic laser, and anesthesia monitoring systems. Services offered range from acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to orthopedic and reproductive surgery, allergy treatment, intensive care, and wellness programs. The hospital is also approved for animal quarantine and provides in-house diagnostics and pharmacy support.

The team consists of five DVMs supported by a highly capable and compassionate support staff.
