Introduction
Our client is a privately owned hospital providing both General Practice and Emergency services, currently hiring an Associate Veterinarian. This is a small animal hospital, and while an interest in exotics, avian, or pocket pets is welcome, it is not required.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open 24 hours due to offering both General Practice and Emergency services. Doctor hours are very flexible and tailored to the needs of the veterinarian, with potential for no weekend work. Both full-time and part-time candidates are welcome to apply.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role includes all clinical responsibilities associated with a General Practice veterinarian. The hospital can accommodate a doctor who prefers not to perform surgery, as well as a veterinarian who wishes to carry a heavy surgical caseload. Both new graduates and experienced veterinarians are encouraged to apply.
Practice Details
The hospital is well equipped with an ultrasound machine, cold laser, digital x-rays, digital dental x-rays, laparoscopy, a CT machine, in-house laboratories, and electronic medical records. In addition to standard general practice services, the hospital also offers acupuncture services and laparoscopy.
Team
The veterinary team consists of six DVMs supported by a well-tenured support staff, maintaining at least a 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio, fostering a supportive and collaborative working environment.
