We partnering with a growing organization to identify an experienced Controller to lead the company's accounting and finance operations. This individual will serve as a strategic business partner to executive leadership while remaining hands-on with day-to-day accounting activities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in corporate accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and manufacturing finance. This position will oversee the accounting team, drive process improvements, and ensure the organization maintains accurate financial reporting while supporting continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Fixed Assets, Treasury, and Financial Reporting.
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
- Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, forecasting, and financial planning while providing variance analysis to executive leadership.
- Partner with department leaders to improve financial performance and support strategic business decisions.
- Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and banking relationships.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage annual financial audits and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
- Oversee inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing financial operations to ensure accurate inventory valuation and product costing.
- Analyze financial performance and key metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational improvements.
- Evaluate, streamline, and enhance accounting processes, systems, and reporting efficiencies.
- Hire, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.
- Support executive leadership with strategic initiatives, financial modeling, and business analysis.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- 5 years of leadership experience managing accounting teams.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience within manufacturing, medical device, life sciences, or a related industry strongly preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $165,000 - $175,000
