We are hiring for a great client in Gardena, CA. We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This is a fully onsite role supporting day-to-day receivables operations, with a strong focus on collections, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor customer accounts for outstanding balances, delayed payments, and discrepancies
- Generate and distribute invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Apply and allocate incoming payments, ensuring proper documentation and tracking
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve variances as needed
- Review accounts receivable aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due balances
- Communicate with customers to address billing questions and resolve payment issues
- Conduct credit checks and support credit-related processes
- Maintain accurate records within the accounting system and assist with reporting as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 2–4 years of accounts receivable or related accounting experience
- Strong understanding of AR processes, collections, and reconciliations
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is required
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle customer inquiries professionally
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
