We are hiring for a great client in El Segundo seeking a detail-oriented part-time Accounting Specialist to join their finance team on a temporary contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong Accounts Payable experience who enjoys supporting essential finance operations in a professional and team-oriented environment.
Hours: 20–25 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Process full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice review, coding, data entry, matching, and payment processing
- Maintain accurate vendor records and assist with vendor inquiries
- Reconcile accounts, statements, and financial records as needed
- Support expense tracking, documentation, and filing of financial records
- Assist with payroll-related tasks and special projects as assigned
- Provide support during an ongoing ERP/HRM system implementation, including learning new processes and helping with finance-related transitions
- Work closely with finance staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of daily tasks
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive financial information
Qualifications:
- Recent experience in Accounts Payable is required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field is highly preferred
- Additional exposure to payroll is highly preferred, but training can be provided
- Experience working in accounting, finance, or administrative support roles
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Professional communication skills and a collaborative attitude
