Production Worker
Mars Hill, ME – FT/Days or FT/Nights – Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Job Description:
Immediate need for Production Workers at a well-established manufacturing plant in Mars Hill. Prior experience in a food production facility helpful, but not required. Excellent four-day work week; benefits available after temp-to-hire period concludes. Full-Time/Days; 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM; or Full-Time/Nights; 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM; Monday - Thursday. $17.00/hr. $2.00/hr. night shift differential.
The Production Worker will set up, sanitize, and operate equipment used in the manufacture of various food products. Employees will load/unload, package, and sort goods for shipment and remove waste materials from the work area. Must have good verbal communication and be able to follow sanitation and safety standards as directed by the plant supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble, operate, and disassemble equipment used for production purposes.
- Load and unload raw materials and/or finished products.
- Perform routine control checks to ensure that equipment is functioning properly and that all quality/safety standards are being met.
- Remove and properly dispose of waste produced during the production process.
- Package finished goods and sort materials for storage and/or shipment.
- Keep work areas clean and orderly; follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines as directed.
- Adhere to all workplace safety policies and report incidents and/or potential hazards to management.
- Perform additional duties as requested by site supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required.
- Ability to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and stand for long periods of time.
- Prior experience in a food production setting helpful.
- Background check required.
