What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodial Maintenance position at Temple Isaiah?
Temple Isaiah in Stony Brook is seeking a reliable, professional custodian/handyman.
Responsibilities: Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness, physical appearance and working order of our facilities. He or she is responsible for identifying and reporting needed repairs, and when possible making repairs.
Qualifications: Knowledge of cleaning products and their applications. Ability to perform maintenance duties. Has some knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to complete work orders as assigned. Must be able to interact professionally with our staff and congregants. Must pass a background check.
Hours: 20-25 hours per week, somewhat flexible. Friday evenings and Saturdays.
Compensation: Negotiable on experience, or $20 hourly to start
