Job Overview
We're seeking a dependable and courteous Custodian/Maintenance professional to join our Maintenance Team to help keep our facilities clean, safe, and welcoming. This role supports daily operations, special events, and general building upkeep. Must be able to work independently and maintain positive relationships with staff, members, visitors, and contractors.
Responsibilities
Custodial Tasks:
- Clean and maintain bathrooms, kitchen, offices, and common areas
- Remove trash and clean spills
- Dust, vacuum, and mop floors
- Monitor cleanliness of lobby, corridors, playground, and social halls
Maintenance Duties:
- Perform general repairs and upkeep and conduct routine inspections of building systems
- Light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
- Fix sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls, and exteriors
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and internal personnel policies
Event Support:
- Set up, take down, and clean for services and special events
- Basic familiarity with AV systems and ability to learn new technology
- Assist with food prep and service as needed
- Coordinate or complete special projects as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year custodial/maintenance experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Background Check
- Strong attention to detail, adaptability to changing priorities, and demonstrated follow-through skills
- Professional demeanor and communication skills
Physical Requirements
- This position requires the ability to perform a variety of physical tasks associated with custodial and facilities maintenance work.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift).
- Regularly required to bend, stoop, reach, climb, push, pull, and lift objects.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally up to 75 pounds with assistance (e.g., tables, chairs, equipment, and supplies).
- Work may involve repetitive motion and the use of standard custodial tools and equipment.
- Must be able to safely operate cleaning and maintenance machinery (e.g., vacuum, floor buffer, ladder work).
- Visual acuity and manual dexterity are required to handle tools, equipment, and cleaning materials.
- Work is primarily performed indoors but may include occasional outdoor tasks and exposure to variable weather conditions.

Work Location: In-person, Jewish Synagogue, Religious School, Office Setting- Summerlin Area
Transportation Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work, including the ability to report for assigned shifts on time and respond to occasional after-hours or weekend needs (e.g., events, emergencies, or weather-related duties).
- A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record may be required if operating vehicles, golf carts, or other equipment as part of assigned duties.
- Employee is responsible for maintaining transportation that enables consistent attendance and punctuality.

Friday 2PM-10PM
Saturday 7AM-3PM
Sunday 7AM-3PM

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
