TempExperts is partnering with a Tampa construction company to hire a Project Engineer whose main job is supporting its Project Engineering and Preconstruction teams. You’ll be hands-on with estimating, bidding, scheduling, documentation and billing, from preconstruction through project execution.

What you’ll be doing
- Supporting the Project Engineering and Preconstruction teams with day-to-day coordination
- Providing estimating support, including construction takeoffs and bid preparation
- Soliciting subcontractor bids, following up on outstanding proposals and staying in touch with subs and vendors
- Reviewing and comparing subcontractor proposals for bid leveling and scope reviews
- Building and managing project schedules and coordinating project activities
- Using Procore and Sage for reporting, workflows and project documentation
- Supporting owner billing and subcontractor invoicing
- Keeping project documents, records and reports accurate and organized throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinating information between project, estimating, preconstruction, subcontractor and administrative teams
What you bring
- Strong Procore and Sage experience, including reporting and workflows
- Preconstruction and estimating support experience
- Construction takeoff experience
- Project scheduling experience
- Subcontractor solicitation and follow-up
- Bid leveling and proposal comparisons
- Project coordination and document management
- Owner billing and subcontractor invoicing experience
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- The ability to juggle priorities and communicate clearly with project teams, subs and vendors
