Position Summary
The Pathway Advisor role will be based on the core responsibilities of a Tempe Union School Counselor, with
additional program-specific expectations aligned to the Circle of Nations Pathway Program. This position will work
in close collaboration with the established site counseling team to ensure alignment with schoolwide counseling
services and graduation requirements.

Position Summary

in close collaboration with the established site counseling team to ensure alignment with schoolwide counseling
services and graduation requirements.
Essential Functions
- School counselor duties
- Tracking and monitoring students assigned to the Momentum Room, including credit recovery, dual
- Working in close collaboration with the Pathway Coordinator to align student support with community-
- Partnering with site counselors to coordinate schedules, transcripts, and graduation pathways for Pathway
- Supporting student engagement with community partners and tribal elders as part of coursework and
- Helping organize and support community engagement nights, family events, and program outreach
- Monitoring transcripts, credits, and graduation pathways to ensure students remain on track
- Supporting individualized academic planning specific to Pathway Program students
- Providing post-secondary planning support, including assistance with enrollment in job skill training
- Connecting students with workforce, technical training, and post-secondary partners to support smooth
Training And Experience
- Master's Degree
- Traditional counseling experience within a high school district
- Multi-cultural and community awareness preferred
- Program planning, management and evaluation preferred.
- Application of current educational counseling technology preferred.
- Knowledge of Assessment preferred
- Valid Arizona Department of Education School Counselor Certificate K-12
- Valid DPS fingerprint clearance card
