What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hydronics Foreman position at Temp-Con LLC?
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a crew of journeyman, apprentices, and helpers in the hydronic system installations.
- Coordinate daily tasks and ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Oversee installation of piping, pumps, boilers, and other hydronic systems.
- Conduct inspections and pressure tests on hydronic systems.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company policies.
- Order materials and manage inventory for job sites.
- Train team members on proper techniques and safety procedures.
- Communicate with project superintendents regarding progress and issues.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing, pipefitting, or HVAC trades.
- Proven expertise in hydronic heating and cooling systems.
- Ability to manage crews and coordinate multiple tasks.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and safety protocols.
- Ability to lift 60 lbs. and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid mechanical or contractor's license.
- Vocational training or certification in plumbing HVAC, or related field.
- Must have strong leadership, communication, and team building skills.
- Must possess technical proficiency in hydronic systems.
- Must possess problem-solving skills and decision-making skills.
- Must possess strong time management and scheduling skills.
- Must be willing to work varied weather conditions.
- Must be willing to work in different heights.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
