Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and energetic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team. As a BDR, you will play a crucial role in driving our growth by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. You will work closely with our sales and marketing teams to create a pipeline of leads, build relationships with potential customers, and lay the foundation for long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Identify and research potential clients within target markets, including nonprofits, government agencies, and educational institutions.
- Outbound Outreach: Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calls, emails, and social media to generate interest in our grants management platform.
- Qualification: Engage with prospects to understand their needs, pain points, and determine their fit for our solutions.
- Relationship Building: Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to create a strong pipeline of potential clients.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to transition qualified leads and support the sales process.
- Market Feedback: Gather and relay feedback from prospects to the product and marketing teams to help refine our value proposition and messaging.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and prospect interactions in our CRM system.
- Target Achievement: Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation and qualified opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field, preferably in the SaaS or tech industry. Nonprofit experience is preferred but not required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and engage with a variety of stakeholders.
- Persistence: A results-driven mindset with the ability to handle rejection and maintain motivation in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical: Strong research and analytical skills to identify potential opportunities and understand market trends.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a startup environment, with the ability to pivot and adapt to changing priorities.
- Team Player: Collaborative with the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams.
Compensation range: $90,000-$100,000 OTE based on experience and fit
