YOUR DAY-DAY: (aka Responsibilities)
- Operational knowledge of Digital and Analog audio consoles and peripheral equipment including patch bays and routers
- Setting up, checking and ensuring that all microphones, audio and media playback are adjusted for proper VU levels and equalization
- IFB mix minus, Telos Systems, COMREX and Cleanfeed
- Design and load in of all Studio and Exterior PA equipment
- Coordination of all RF/Wireless equipment (i.e. microphones, IFB and PL) as well as studio foldback with Audio Assistant (A-2) or Floor Manager
- Provide immediate solutions in the event of equipment or other audio problems
- Bachelor’s degree in television production or equivalent work experience
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems
- 3-5 years of experience in control room broadcast facility
- 4 years of audio experience in a live television environment
- Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of broadcast and production technology
- Studio and Remote production experience
- Ability to multi-task and react quickly during daily broadcasts
- As this position supports 24x7 operation, candidate must, in addition to being able to work regular hours, have on-call availability, and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed and without advance notice.
- Additionally, candidate may be required to work on site for extended periods of time to provide coverage in special circumstances, such as during tropical storm/hurricane.
