Facilities Technician - Facilities and Operations

Position Title: Facilities Technician – Facilities - Operations (Onsite - Corporate Office - Malvern, PA)

Position Overview

Facilities Technician- This role will assist with site and equipment maintenance, contractor coordination, and safety inspections. The candidate must demonstrate strong knowledge and experience of industrial utilities / mechanicals, safe work practices, LOTO, and thorough equipment documentation. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Partner with functional teams to ensure the Company’s facilities team can provide a platform to reach short, intermediate and long-term goals
• Assist in maintaining labs, offices, safety equipment and the site to support our employees
• Assist in maintaining critical systems including HVAC, refrigeration, life safety systems, electrical distribution, lab equipment and cleanrooms
• Support equipment database documentation to track equipment, repair equipment/ sitework orders, calibration, and validation. 
• Assists in maintaining site cleanliness, safety, security, and site emergency preparedness.
• Verification of outsources site janitorial contractor performance according to service plan
• Hands-on-critical cleaning periodically in manufacturing area
• General maintenance, patching and painting as needed to maintain site

 Education and Experience

• BA/BS degree and/or relevant technical training plus experience
• HVAC-certification and mechanical system knowledge favorable
• Strong electrical / Mechanical troubleshooting knowledge favorable
• Experience in using Maintenance tracking (Limble CMMS) software experience favorable
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment and GMP documentation preferred

 Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

• 5 or more years’ experience primarily in a life science/medical device environment
• Demonstrated experience in successful facilities maintenance support
• Ability to work in a fluid environment, manage time effectively, achieve goals and effectively interact with other employees, departments, and service providers 
• Excellent work ethic and attention to detail
• Strong service focus towards both internal and external customers
• Strong team approach to ensure the site and our equipment remain ready to perform for our employees
• Available to respond outside of typical working hours to share responsibility during unplanned equipment or site system emergencies
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively, and solve operational challenges 
• Effective communication (written and oral), interpersonal & presentation skills
• Hands-on worker; self-starter 
• Highly collaborative team player

 Working Conditions

This position works in the corporate office.  The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.  

Primary Location and Travel

We anticipate that on an ongoing basis this role will be based in the Corporate Office. No travel expected.
