Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician – R&D Lab
Location: Charlotte, NC 28269
Shift: Onsite | Mon–Fri, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (OT/Weekends as needed)
Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support daily operations of an R&D lab. Role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing lab infrastructure, HVAC, and mechanical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive/corrective maintenance on lab equipment and mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot HVAC, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and utilities (chilled water, compressed air, refrigerants)
- Support installation and calibration of new lab systems
- Maintain service logs, safety compliance, and follow LOTO protocols
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of mechanical/facilities maintenance in lab, industrial, or manufacturing setting
- Ability to read drawings/manuals; skilled with hand/power tools & diagnostics
- Basic electrical troubleshooting experience
- EPA 608 certification a plus
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
