Mechanical Inspector

Job Title: Mechanical Inspector – Aerospace / Machined Parts
Location: 6125 East 21st St, Indianapolis, IN 46219

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector to perform inspections on precision machined aerospace components.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect machined parts, castings, forgings, and sheet metal (first article, in-process, and final).
• Verify materials, processes, and vendor certifications.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T (ANSI Y14.5).
• Use CMMs, gauges, and other inspection tools for dimensional checks.
• Maintain accurate inspection records to AS9100 standards.
• Support calibration and continuous improvement of quality systems.

Qualifications:

• 6 years of mechanical inspection and/or machining experience.
• Proficient in GD&T, AS9100/ISO standards, and inspection techniques.
• Experience with CMM and other precision measuring tools.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
