Tekton Research is seeking a physician with expertise in Cardiometabolic and Endocrinology clinical research to serve as a Principal Investigator in our Austin, Texas location. This role will lead clinical trials for conditions like diabetes, obesity, metabolic disease, lipid disorders, and cardiovascular risk reduction. The Principal Investigator will provide scientific and clinical leadership, including compliance, patient safety, and oversight.
The ideal candidate will provide scientific leadership in areas such as diabetes, obesity, metabolic disease, cardiovascular risk reduction, and related endocrine disorders while supporting strategic site growth and sponsor partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Principal Investigator for cardiometabolic and endocrinology clinical trials (e.g., diabetes, obesity, metabolic disease, lipid disorders, cardiovascular risk reduction).
- Provide medical and scientific leadership for study execution, patient safety, and protocol compliance.
- Partner with sponsors and CROs on feasibility, protocol development, and study design feedback.
- Support expansion ofTekton’scardiometabolic and endocrine research portfolio.
- Participate insponsormeetings, site selection visits, and industry engagements.
- Contribute to patient recruitment strategy and enrollment optimization.
- Present clinical insights and representTektonat industry and scientific meetings.
- Collaborate cross-functionally withoperations, recruitment, and business development teams.
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ICH-GCP standards, and study protocols.
Qualifications
- MD or DO withactivemedical license.
- Board certification or specialization in Endocrinology, Internal Medicine, or related specialty.
- Experience in cardiometabolic or endocrine patient care (diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome, lipid disorders, etc.).
- Clinical research experience as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator preferred.
- Experience interacting with pharmaceutical sponsors or CROs preferred.
- Strong interest in advancing cardiometabolic innovation and therapeutic development.
- Ability to work collaboratively across clinical and operational teams.
- Ability to travel (15-20%)
Preferred Background
- Prior leadership in cardiometabolic or endocrine clinical trials.
- Experience in obesity, diabetes, NASH/MASH, lipid management, or cardiovascular outcomes studies.
- Publications, speaking engagements, or scientific leadership experience.
- Established relationships within industry or academic networks.
- Experience supporting site growth or therapeutic program development.
