Key Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Provide in‑person assistance for end users experiencing hardware or software issues.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems involving computers, peripherals, and mobile devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and general applications.
- Set up and deploy new computers and related equipment.
- Perform basic hardware repairs, upgrades, and component replacements.
- Coordinate with internal teams to request replacement parts or additional equipment.
- Assist users with installing, configuring, and updating software.
- Troubleshoot application errors, compatibility issues, and system performance problems.
- Provide guidance on software usage and general best practices.
- Log all issues and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to team members when needed.
- Follow up with users to confirm successful resolution and gather feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory.
- Track the allocation, movement, and retirement of IT assets.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non‑technical users.
- Customer‑focused mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong time‑management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Basic understanding of IT security and data protection best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, on‑site environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training is a plus.
- Experience providing deskside or technical support preferred.
- Familiarity with general operating systems and productivity software.
- Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
