We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide hands‑on technical support for staff and students in a classroom-focused environment. This role is responsible for maintaining reliable end‑user technology, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring minimal disruption to instructional delivery.
Responsibilities
- Provide desktop and end‑user support for desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and peripherals used by staff and students.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues quickly to minimize impact on classroom instruction and learning activities.
- Support Windows and macOS operating systems, including basic configuration, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Assist users with productivity tools including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, etc.).
- Troubleshoot basic wired and wireless network connectivity issues affecting classrooms, offices, and instructional spaces.
- Document issues, resolutions, and procedures according to established IT support processes.
- Deliver patient, professional, and clear communication when assisting educators and students with varying technical skill levels.
- Experience providing desktop or end‑user support in an educational or professional environment.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including Wi‑Fi and wired connectivity troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to support non‑technical users.
- Experience supporting classroom technology or educational environments.
- Ability to prioritize issues based on instructional impact.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
