We are seeking a QA/QC Technician to support telecom work inside a data center environment in Charleston, SC. This role is focused on quality assurance and inspection , not installation. You will be responsible for reviewing completed work to ensure cabling, equipment, and racks meet industry standards, customer requirements, and documentation expectations.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform daily quality inspections of completed telecom and structured cabling work
- Inspect fiber and copper cabling, telecom equipment, racks, and cable dressing
- Use checklists to verify work meets industry standards (BICSI, TIA, manufacturer specifications)
- Identify quality issues, risks, or areas for improvement
- Document findings clearly, accurately, and professionally
- Share QA/QC reports with site teams and QA/QC leadership
- Occasionally assist with training field teams on quality standards and best practices
- Stay current on industry standards, guidelines, and inspection requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high‑quality work
- Ability to think like an auditor rather than an installer
- Comfort identifying and documenting deficiencies or non‑conforming work
- Professional communication skills on active job sites
- Self‑motivated with the ability to manage your own workday
- Willingness to learn, grow, and develop within the QA/QC function
- 2 years of structured cabling experience
- Solid understanding of proper cable installation methods and industry standards
- Hands‑on experience with:
- Copper and fiber cabling
- Rack layouts and cable management
- Telecom or data center environments (or strong foundational cabling experience)
Nice to Have
- Fiber optic inspection or testing experience
- Previous QA/QC or inspection experience
- Technical support or troubleshooting background
- Outside Plant (OSP) exposure
- Primarily based at a single data center in Charleston, SC
- Occasional support at other nearby sites
- Overtime is available and may be required at times
- Fast‑paced but organized environment with clear expectations and processes
