We are seeking a highly organized Patient Service Representative / Clerical Support Specialist to provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support within a fast‑paced healthcare environment. This role handles medical documentation processing, mail handling, billing support, and communication with both internal and external stakeholders. Accuracy, reliability, and strong independent work skills are essential.
What You’ll Do
Daily responsibilities include rotating through various administrative functions such as:
- Breaking down and sorting incoming mail.
- Processing claims from multiple sources.
- Managing online files within a lockbox system.
- Working assigned work queues.
- Handling documentation requests.
- Supporting hospital billing and professional fee workflows.
- Fulfill requests for medical records, EOBs, UB‑92s, and itemized statements.
- Deliver documentation to designated internal and external business partners.
- Perform general office tasks: filing, scanning, indexing, photocopying, and sorting correspondence.
- Manage mail printing, tracking, and distribution.
Required Skills & Experience
- Prior experience using EPIC.
- Previous administrative or office support experience.
- Knowledge of healthcare terminology.
- Strong ability to research and work independently.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organization, listening, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to learn new tasks quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
- Customer service mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Accurate data entry skills and 10‑key proficiency by touch.
- Office-based position in a collaborative team environment.
- Full-time, on-site role.
