Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Patient Registration Representative to join a fast-paced Emergency Department team. This role is highly dynamic, requiring strong customer service skills, quick thinking, and the ability to remain professional in urgent situations while ensuring accurate patient registration and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Register and check in patients across multiple Emergency Department areas, including front desk, ambulance bay, and patient floors
- Collect and verify patient identification and insurance information accurately
- Monitor patient registration systems and ensure timely completion of registrations and insurance verification
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and emergency personnel
- Respond quickly to overhead pages and incoming patient notifications to complete registrations in real time
- Assist patients and visitors while maintaining safety standards in coordination with security and staff
- Fast-paced Emergency Department setting with a mix of high activity and administrative tasks
- Cross-training across front desk, ambulance intake, and patient floor operations
- 1 years of customer service experience
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Ability to adapt to changing workflows and responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to act quickly in high-pressure situations
