We are actively hiring dependable, experienced low-voltage technicians to support high-profile commercial and municipal projects across the tri-county area-including school systems, county facilities, and a large, multi-phase deployment at *Charleston International Airport*.
What You'll Be Doing This role focuses on the installation, service, and troubleshooting of low-voltage and electronic security systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
* Installing and servicing *access control systems* and electrified door hardware
* Mounting and configuring *IP and analog camera systems*
* Pulling, terminating, and testing *Cat5/Cat6 and fiber cabling*
* Installing *wireless access points* and network-connected security devices
* Working with field hardware such as readers, sensors, door operators, panic/crash bars, and maglocks
* Performing system upgrades, testing, and general troubleshooting
You'll often work independently but will also collaborate closely with a strong service team that takes professionalism seriously.
What We're Looking For *Required Qualifications*
* Reliable transportation and clean driving record (MVR)
* At least *2 years of relevant hands-on experience*
* (Low-voltage cabling, access control installs, electrical apprentice work, or commercial systems experience all apply)
* Stable work history-we value technicians who are career-focused
* Comfortable using hand and power tools, ladders, and lifts
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail
* Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
Projects & Schedule Work is based throughout the *Charleston metro area*, supporting:
* County government facilities
* K-12 school security modernization projects
* A major long-term airport security initiative
Typical schedule is *4 days per week, 10-hour shifts* (7:00 AM-5:30 PM). Occasional Fridays may be required; weekends are rare. Technicians provide basic hand tools-specialty tools and PPE are supplied by the company.
