Description

A Cisco Network Engineer supporting Catalyst 9300 and 4500 switches responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure and scalable network infrastructure using these specific platforms. The role requires a deep understanding of networking principles, problem-solving skills, and often a relevant certification like CCNP.

Key Responsibilities

• Configuration and Maintenance: Configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco Catalyst 9300 and 4500 series switches, along with other network equipment (routers, firewalls, etc.), ensuring all devices adhere to industry best practices and security standards.
• Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Monitor network performance using tools such as Cisco DNA Center or SolarWinds, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks, packet loss, and connectivity issues to ensure maximum network uptime and reliability.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting support for complex network incidents, performing root cause analysis, and resolving issues swiftly to minimize downtime.
• Design and Implementation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new network solutions and upgrades, ensuring scalability and alignment with business objectives.
• Security Management: Implement and manage network security measures, including access control lists (ACLs), VLANs, VPNs, and potentially integrating with firewalls and intrusion prevention systems.
• Documentation and Procedures: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, processes, and network diagrams to facilitate knowledge sharing and disaster recovery efforts.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00/hr.
