Schedule : Monday – Friday, 1st Shift

Overview
We are hiring 2 Medical Billers to join a growing healthcare organization in Hunt Valley, MD. This team handles room & board billing, Medicaid eligibility, and full-cycle accounts receivable processes supporting nursing home and inpatient billing.
1 Medicaid Biller – Must have strong Medicaid and/or SNF billing experience
1 AR/Reimbursement Biller – Traditional medical billing / AR follow-up experience
This is a direct placement opportunity with strong long-term growth and hybrid flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
Complete room & board billing for nursing home and inpatient units
Perform Medicaid eligibility verification and payer eligibility reviews
Review patient accounts for accuracy, coverage, and billing compliance
Submit, track, and follow up on claims to ensure proper reimbursement
Investigate and resolve denials, rejections, and unpaid claims
Work aging reports and support accounts receivable follow-up
Collaborate with internal teams and nursing home partners to resolve billing issues
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with payer requirements
Qualifications
1–2 years of medical billing, Medicaid billing, or AR experience
Strong understanding of insurance plans (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, BCBS, HMOs)
Experience with claims processing, denial management, and revenue cycle workflows
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data pulls, reporting, analysis)
Familiarity with EMR systems and billing platforms
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Preferred
Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or hospice setting
Strong Medicaid billing background (especially for Medicaid-specific role)
