Low Voltage Technician

About The Role

TEKsystems Inc. is seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team in the Greater Nashville Area. This position offers a 6-month contract with the potential for permanent hire, along with comprehensive benefits and a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications and low-voltage systems.
• Pull, route, and terminate Cat5/Cat6 cabling for voice and data networks.
• Perform punch-downs on patch panels and jacks.
• Mount and install network racks, cable trays, and related hardware.
• Test and troubleshoot cabling for continuity and performance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
• Basic knowledge of low-voltage systems and cabling standards.
• Experience with Cat5/Cat6 cable installation and termination.
• Familiarity with punch-down tools, cable testers, and hand tools.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints or wiring diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
