Electronic Health Records System Administrator

Description

This individual will be providing support to the end users onsite. They will mainly be supporting their eClinicalWorks application and their Electronic Health Records (EHR) and electronic health exchange (EHX) applications. Their responsibilities can be broken down into three main areas:

Technical Support

• Serves as primary point of contact for all issues and requests relating to eCW.
• Responds to end-user requests for issue resolution. Creates and monitors support tickets with eCW, and works to resolve problems quickly and accurately. Closes tickets as they are resolved and documents issues and resolutions.
• Provides guidance and assists in researching technical issues related to eCW and eHX applications.
• Creates, modifies, and terminates eCW user accounts and user groups as necessary, including modifications of appropriate security settings.
• Creates, maintains, and updates, an issue knowledgebase to document technical support issues and associated resolution approaches as part of proactive approaches to problem management.
• Locally manages all upgrades and feature implementations, including hardware-based solutions (e.g., eCW Kiosks)
  
  
  

Reporting and Compliance

• Assists in various reporting functions, such as setting up user reports, using both native eCW tools and external reporting tools.
• Serves as eCW point of contact for safety advisories, including managing notifications from eCW and communicating those to internal staff as appropriate.
• Assists with technology policies, standards, and procedures manual, and develops and maintains related technology checklists.
  
  
  

System Improvements and Maintenance

• Meets with and works with various departments (clinical, administrative, finance) to examine workflows within eCW and makes updated recommendations as appropriate.
• Ensures that Administration and eCW documentation is kept up to date as processes change.
• Provides input into application enhancements to improve system usability.
• Assists with system analysis, testing, and documentation on new patches and versions prior to implementation.
• Coordinates and participates in scheduling maintenance, downtime, and software or hardware upgrades.
• Attends and/or participate in eCW training to stay up to date on eCW features.
  
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

2 years working with EHR systems, 1 year of which needs to be with eClinicalWorks ECW

This is a Contract position based out of Washington D.C., DC.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.50 - $43.50/hr.
