We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our front desk team. This full-time role supports a busy orthotics office by assisting walk-in customers, answering phones, processing orders, and handling insurance verifications. You’ll work alongside two other team members in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Position Summary
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our front desk team. This full-time role supports a busy orthotics office by assisting walk-in customers, answering phones, processing orders, and handling insurance verifications. You’ll work alongside two other team members in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist walk-in customers placing orthotic product orders.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to faxes from patients, physicians, and referral sources.
- Accurately record and update patient information in the system.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
- Process orders and billing in the computer system.
- Secure prescriptions for home medical equipment services.
- Maintain strong relationships with referral sources and ensure excellent customer service.
- Handle claims questions and support patients with billing inquiries.
- Perform general administrative duties and manage paperwork efficiently.
- Required:
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (phone and/or in-person).
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage paperwork-heavy tasks.
- Preferred:
- Experience with insurance verification and billing.
- Previous work in a medical office or healthcare setting.
- College degree or relevant training/certification.
