Experienced Cable Technician – TEKsystems (Nashville, TN)
TEKsystems is seeking experienced Cable Technicians to support a long‑term, high‑profile cabling project. Technicians may work independently or help in a small group of helpers, depending on project needs. Daily direction and on‑site training will be provided by a lead technician, offering opportunities to further develop skills in the low‑voltage and structured cabling industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Install cable pathways including cable trays, j‑hooks, and supports.
- Pull and route Cat 6 cabling and fiber optic cabling throughout the job site.
- Terminate faceplates, jacks, and related workstation outlets.
- Work within active new‑construction environments and follow site safety requirements.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow best practices for cable management.
- Experience with Cat6 cabling, structured cabling, and cable installation.
- Ability to pull cable, install pathways, and use hand/power tools safely.
- Strong understanding of low‑voltage cabling practices.
