Job Posting: Low Voltage TechnicianAbout the RoleWe are seeking highly skilled Level 2 or 3 Low Voltage Technicians to join our growing team. The ideal candidates will have strong experience across all low-voltage cabling disciplines and be able to work independently, professionally, and safely onsite.This role requires technicians who can install, terminate, test, and certify a variety of cabling and security systems with minimal oversight.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, service, and troubleshoot Access Control systemsInstall and program Intrusion/Alarm systemsPull, terminate, and troubleshoot Fiber Optic CablingInstall and work with Structured Category Cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, etc.)Terminate, label, and test cable at endpoints using industry-standard tools and testersDress, terminate, and manage cable on patch panels in communications roomsBuild out MDF/IDF rooms, including racks, ladder trays, patch panels, and cable managementFollow all safety and installation standardsRequirementsMinimum 3 years of experience in low voltage cablingStrong knowledge of access control, intrusion, fiber, and structured cablingAbility to independently complete terminations, labeling, testing, and certifying cablingMust have all standard low-voltage hand toolsMust be able to carry their own 6-ft ladderIf the technician does not have a ladder, they will not be consideredAbility to read blueprints and follow detailed scopes of workReliable transportation and punctuality are requiredStrong communication and professionalism on customer sitesPreferred QualificationsManufacturer certifications (e.g., BICSI, Genetec, Lenel, etc.)Knowledge of MDF/IDF build standardsExperience with both new construction and retrofit environmentsJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
