Key Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot various cable systems, including:
- Fiber optic
- Coaxial
- Ethernet (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, etc.)
- Perform structured cabling installations in commercial, industrial, and/or residential environments
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Conduct cable testing, certification, and documentation using industry tools
- Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues efficiently
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies
- Travel to job sites (often regionally or nationwide) for installation and service projects
- High school diploma or GED (technical certification preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in cable installation or telecommunications
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems and installation techniques
- Experience with cable testing tools (Fluke testers or similar)
