As an AV service technician, youâll own the health and performance of complex AV environmentsâfrom executive boardrooms to enterprise collaboration spaces.
Your Impact Will Include
- Troubleshooting and resolving advanced issues across Crestron and AMX control systems
- Commissioning, debugging, and optimizing newly deployed AV solutions
- Reverseâengineering and modernizing legacy AV systems
- Supporting enterprise video conferencing platforms (Cisco, Poly, Logitech)
- Maintaining and tuning audio DSP systems (Biamp, QSC)
- Supporting AVâoverâIP networks, switching infrastructure, and signal flow
- Servicing video walls and largeâformat displays (Planar, LG, Samsung, Barco, Unilumen)
- Performing preventative maintenance and detailed system assessments
- Recommending equipment upgrades and longâterm solutions
- Producing clean, professional service documentation
- Acting as a trusted technical partner for enterprise clients
- Mentoring junior and midâlevel technicians when needed
This role is designed for seasoned AV professionals who bring confidence, technical depth, and strong customer presence.
Required Experience & Skills
- 7â8 years of AV integration and/or AV field service experience
- Deep handsâon experience with Crestron and AMX
- Strong commissioning, debugging, and diagnostic skills
- Intermediate to advanced AV networking expertise
- Advanced understanding of signal flow and lowâvoltage concepts
- Cabling expertise (Cat6, crimping, soldering, connectors)
- Proficiency using a multimeter for testing and troubleshooting
- Comfortable working independently in clientâfacing environments
- Ability to manage multiple service priorities without oversight
- Own basic AV hand tools
- CTS certification (or actively pursuing)
- Experience with AVoIP environments
- Video wall and digital signage expertise
- Leadership or mentoring experience
- Twoâyear technical degree or equivalent realâworld experience
- Minimum 3 years of field service experience
- Valid driverâs license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders/scaffolding, and work in tight or elevated spaces
- Comfortable working in a variety of environmental conditions
