A defense law firm specializing in insurance and personal injury litigation is seeking experienced attorneys to join its offices in downtown Houston and Sugar Land. This position requires a minimum of two years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance first- and third-party defense.
The ideal candidate will possess strong research, writing, and analytical skills, along with experience handling personal injury matters, including auto, trucking, and product liability cases. Candidates should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and interested in long-term career growth.
Responsibilities include retaining and working with expert witnesses, conducting depositions, drafting dispositive motions, reporting to insurance carriers, and accurately tracking billable time.
Experience managing cases independently as well as collaborating with a team on more complex, high-exposure matters is important.
The firm offers the opportunity to work on both high-value personal injury litigation with a team of attorneys and lower-exposure cases where the attorney will take primary responsibility for case management. Trial experience in Harris County and a portable book of business are considered strong advantages.
