Project Manager – Civil Construction

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Construction Project Manager to manage civil construction projects from inception through completion. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, planning, and organizational skills, along with the ability to oversee field operations, monitor project progress, maintain client communication, and drive project performance and profitability.
The organization provides a full range of civil contracting services, including bridge, culvert, dam, utility, and road construction. With a long history of successfully completing civil construction projects, the team has delivered work across a broad range of infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day activities of civil construction projects from inception through completion.
- Develop project plans and coordinate schedules, resources, materials, subcontractors, and project activities.
- Monitor job progress and ensure projects remain on schedule and within established objectives.
- Oversee and coordinate field operations to ensure efficient project execution.
- Communicate regularly with owners/clients and provide project updates, documentation, and administrative information.
- Maintain clear communication and continuity between project management and field operations.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
- Identify project issues, delays, and risks and take appropriate corrective action.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project performance, productivity, costs, and profitability.
- Ensure projects are completed efficiently while meeting schedule, quality, safety, and financial objectives.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant construction industry experience.
- Experience in construction project management, preferably within civil or heavy civil construction.
- Ability to manage construction projects from start to finish.
- Knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, field operations, and project coordination.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and project activities effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and internal stakeholders.
