Job: Clinical Pharmacist – Hospital
Location: Winnemucca, NV | (Housing available)
We are seeking an experienced Clinical/Hospital Pharmacist to join a healthcare team in Winnemucca, Nevada. This is an excellent opportunity for a Nevada-licensed pharmacist with inpatient experience who enjoys clinical medication management and working closely with physicians and nursing teams.
Responsibilities
- Verify and review medication orders for accuracy and safety
- Perform patient-specific medication interventions
- Monitor dosing, drug interactions, allergies, and therapy appropriateness
- Support inpatient and long-term care medication management
- Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate pharmacy documentation and regulatory compliance
- Participate in medication-safety and quality-improvement activities
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Nevada Pharmacist (RPh/PharmD) license
- Hospital/clinical pharmacy experience
- Experience with medication order verification and clinical interventions
- Strong knowledge of pharmacotherapy, dosing, and medication safety
- Sterile compounding experience and knowledge of current USP <797> standards preferred
- Cerner experience preferred
Schedule & Compensation
- Competitive compensation based on experience
- Initial training: approximately 30–40 hours/week
- Ongoing schedule: approximately 2–3 days/week
- 10–12 hour shifts
- Pharmacy operates days, including weekends as needed
- Casual-call arrangement, up to 1,059 hours annually
