We are seeking an experienced Controller / Accounting Manager to join their leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead day-to-day accounting and financial operations
• Oversee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and monthly close activities
• Manage job costing, project financial reporting, and cost tracking
• Support cash management, banking relationships, and account reconciliations
• Coordinate insurance administration, audits, compliance activities, and risk management efforts
• Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, and business planning
• Mentor and support accounting staff while driving process improvements
Preferred Qualifications:
• 5 years of accounting experience within the construction industry
• Experience working for a General Contractor is highly preferred
• Background as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or Assistant Controller
• Strong understanding of job costing, financial reporting, payroll, AP/AR, and internal controls
• Experience with construction accounting software such as Sage 100 is a plus
• CPA and/or MBA preferred but not required
• Ability to work onsite in the San Jose area
