Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and accounting team management. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of financial statements, general ledger activities, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls, preferably within the construction or project-based industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and journal entries.
• Manage general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization and depreciation.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Collaborate with project managers on job costing and contract compliance.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor accounting staff.
• Maintain internal controls and support external and internal audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
• Provide financial insights and reports to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an Accounting Manager or in a senior accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, general ledger, and journal entries.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Hands-on experience with fixed assets and account reconciliations.
• Construction or project-based accounting experience preferred.
• Union and certified payroll experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
