Responsibilities
- Develop and implement CMM programs for various aerospace components using PC-DMIS or similar software.
- Perform first article inspections and routine quality checks to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize measurement processes and improve product quality.
- Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure accurate measurements.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of measurements and quality reports.
- Identify and troubleshoot measurement issues, providing solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Train and mentor junior staff on CMM programming and quality inspection techniques.
Qualifications
- Proven experience programming CMM machines in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Proficiency in PC-DMIS or similar CMM programming software.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
